Wolves hunt in the Rocky Mountains of North America, the Arctic tundra, the mountains and forests of Europe, and the deserts and steppes of Central Asia. They eat meat and nutrient-rich offal, as well as vegetables, fruits, berries, roots, and herbs from the stomach contents of their prey. This does not include grains. This is how wolves get the vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes, and phytochemicals they need. Because the wolf is the ancestor of all dogs, our Wolfsblut dry food is based on the natural eating habits of the wolf. It contains plenty of meat or fish combined with superfoods that provide valuable nutrients - and, just like in nature, it is completely grain-free. Our selection of exceptional meats and nutrient-rich superfoods is based on the wolf's habitat and colorful diet. Wolfsblut offers every dog an appropriate and original diet, and with its variety, there is something for everyone. The recipe of BLACK BIRD SENIOR dry food combines the nutrition of the wolf with the latest scientific knowledge about good dog nutrition.

Sweet Potatoes: According to the CSPI, sweet potatoes are one of the most nutritious vegetables because of their high fiber, beta-carotene and vitamin E content.
Elderberries: In addition to anthocyanins, these black-blue berries are high in vitamin C and folate. They also contain a pigment called sambucyanin, which has anti-inflammatory properties.
Aronia berries: Aronia contains high levels of phytochemicals believed to have special health benefits, such as flavonoids and phenolic acid.
Dandelion: Dandelion is rich in minerals such as magnesium, folate, manganese, and vitamin K, which plays an important role in blood clotting.
Flaxseed: The fiber and mucilage in these small grains help with digestion and are high in omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids.
Jerusalem Artichoke: High in inulin, a prebiotic that stimulates the growth of healthy bacteria in the gut. A healthy gut flora has a positive effect on the immune system.
Ginseng: Used as a medicinal plant in the Asian region. The reason for this is the high nutrient content of the plant, which is rich in amino acids, vitamins, copper, iron and calcium.
