We know from experience that most farriers are against greasing hooves because it closes off the hoof wall. Duo Hoof does not. Since Duo Hoof is 100% animal oil, it absorbs directly into the hoof wall.
Synthetic substances, fats and vegetable products close off the hoof wall, making it look nice temporarily on the outside, but making the hoof dry from the inside, thus increasing the chances of cracks and crumbling. Duo Hoef therefore contains no additives.
Horse fat contains glycerine and Vitamin A and D. Glycerine attracts moisture and the action of Vitamin A and D results in faster growth of horn and a better structure of the hoof. | How to use | Smooth down from the crown rim and lubricate the entire hoof well. After 2 to 3 weeks, you will notice results from the hoof. In case of dry frog (the underside of the hoof), apply once a week. With bad hooves, we recommend treating the hoof with Duo Hoof every day for 14 days. Then every other day for 14 days and then twice a week throughout the year. With good hooves, we advise everyone who uses Duo Hoof to grease the hooves of your horse or pony at least twice a week. |
